Non-Representational and Abstract Collage
In late December of 2010, Kathryn started creating One of a Kind Miniature
Collages. The Expressionism is a quiet release from the larger scale collage
work on the previous page. These small artworks range in sizes from 3.5 x 4 inches,
4 x 6 inches and 5.5 inches. Each is adhered to either watercolor, foamcore board or gessoed masonite board, then nicely framed in a shadowbox frame giving the small art piece depth. The first group of five are New Works. In the second grouping, the first collage piece shown is titled Parts to the Whole and was juried in to the National Collage Society's 2011Annual Exhibit at Kent State University in Ohio.
